Lyrics
If you turn on closed captioning on the VHS or go to the DVD menu and click on captions, the song lyrics pretty much narrate the whole story. There's even a cute [Glam-Rock] to indicate when a song is playing. There are however, a lot of mistakes since the art of deciphering rock & roll lyrics is a fifty year old tradition not yet perfected. Those who know the lyrics to the vintage glam songs will have a bit of a giggle and others will be perplexed because they are downright bizarre in spots. Like these from "Hot One"
"when you're walking all the fella boys are fella nervous" instead of
"when you walk by the fairy boys are pale and nervous" and
"cause this booing is one of mourning" instead of
"this wooing is what I'm wanting."
What's your favorite incorrect lyric?

Re: That's just not fair!
Ahh, figured it must be something like that, cos the Moulin Rouge DVD had it in the US as well, and my version didn't
But yeah, I think at least the Australian edit of the movie is pretty good, we may even have a bit more than the american version...not sure if much got cut of the DVD or whether that was just a TV thing.
But the extras are sucky. I did start that side project to 'petition' for a wider release of the full bonus version, but I have too much on my plate just now
