Proving that homosexuality breaks up marriages and families! Just kidding of course, but the underlying idea is that homosexuality is threatening to the social order. And, well, it is!

There are many people who'd rather disown their kids than face the 'stigma' of having a gay child. The current Defense of Marriage act in the U.S. reflects the fear of the queer. Apparently for quite a few heterosexual people, homosexuality is such a social threat that they feel it has the power to harm their own marriages. Senators have likened homosexuality to bestiality and incest. It is certainly bizarre and irrational but this fear has already swept over the country and has an effect on the recent elections.
