CLOSE ON Arthur looking up at him with a distant smile.
ARTHUR
That’s quite a – pin you got there.
CLOSE ON Curt’s jacket: the antique emerald pin sparkles green.
CURT
Oh yeah.
ARTHUR
Is it old?
CURT

Possibly. It was Oscar Wilde's. Or so I was told by the person who gave it to me.

This friend of mine who kinda ... disappeared ... some years back.
There's a lovely unspoken meaning in the dialogue and acting. The scene suggests that Arthur recognizes the pin – as a fan he probably saw numerous pictures of Brian wearing it. We learn that Curt knows the story that it belonged Wilde but he also indicates that he may not believe it. And Curt also lets Arthur know, in the conspiratorial manner that Arthur started the conversation, that he is referring to Brian without mentioning his name.
