Shannon stands at the doorway, staring at Mandy. Now Brian’s personal secretary, Shannon’s force has grown considerably.
The pinstripe suit is an indicator of power in the film. Jerry wears one when he signs Brian, and in most of the scenes in the film he wears some variation on stripes. Brian is wearing a glammed up version on the day he signs with Jerry and on his way to becoming a star. He also wears a super fitted pinstripe suit as a Mod in control of his little universe. The men watching Jerry and Brian cut the deal, whom Todd refers to as 'faceless Execs' and who include Arthur's boss Lou, are nearly all in pinstripes. Cecil, by contrast, never wears pinstripes. In this scene, the previously mousy Shannon, who was a clueless school girl when we first meet her, is now running the show and dressed for it. You might even say she's cross dressing a bit with that tie.
