While Christian Bale is an excellent actor, Arthur is not. Here he is using his best 'objective reporter' voice to ask, "Which concert?" but he's unable to hide the nervous anticipation in his voice since he fully knows that Mandy is about to talk about the most pivotal night of his life. The low camera angle adds to the tension of the scene.
