Apr. 17th, 2005 06:44 pmWe sang Oscar winning costume designer Sandy Powell's praises before and here and here and we'll do it again. Here's Todd's opinion on how she is part of the cast.
Sandy Powell is fucking brilliant. She was one of the first people I sought out on the project. And when she said she would do the film, I felt like I had cast my lead. I was jumping up and down in my hotel room, just blowing my mind. 'Sandy Powell is doing the costumes, it's over. We did it. We're done. Where's the red carpet?' And she fulfilled all of those expectations I had to such an amazing degree. She also became a really good friend. I hung out a lot with Sandy and her home in Brixton is my home away from home in England.
6 Degrees: She also clothed JRM in Michael Collins and Ewan McGregor (don't blink or you'll miss him) in Being Human.
